Ted, a resilient Shih Tzu, was discovered in a Morpeth Park by Northumberland Dog Welfare, living a tough life on the streets. He was suffering from severe skin issues, a swollen tummy, and even lost his once beautiful tail.
A New Beginning at STAR
Rescued and brought to STAR (Save The Animals Rescue), Ted received the love and care he desperately needed. Despite not having a name initially, he found warmth, good food, and gentle cuddles in his foster home. His foster mom reassured him that he was now a STAR boy, safe and loved.
The Road to Recovery
Ted’s journey to recovery wasn’t easy. Multiple vet visits, tests, and treatments revealed he had Cushings and demodex mites. With ongoing medications and tender loving care, Ted has made remarkable progress.
Looking Ahead
While Ted’s future may have uncertainties due to his medical condition, he’s currently doing well. Thanks to the generosity of STAR members, Ted now has his own birthday on May 28th, celebrating the love and care he receives.
Conclusion
Despite his challenges, Ted is thriving under the dedicated care of STAR. His story is a testament to the resilience of animals and the importance of compassionate rescue efforts. If you’d like to support Ted and other rescued dogs, consider donating to STAR’s cause.
