In November 2010, a distressing call reached the volunteers of Shih Tzu Rescue Minnesota. It was a call for help, a plea to rescue three Shih Tzus, including one named Buddy, from a situation of abuse and neglect. Threatened by a gun-wielding man, the volunteers knew they had to act swiftly to save the dogs. What followed was a harrowing rescue mission that would change Buddy’s life forever.

Buddy, previously known as Fang, bore the scars of severe abuse. His once gentle nature had been replaced by fear and aggression, a result of the trauma he had endured.
