Shih Tzu’s Eyes had Ruptured, Requiring Removal

Spread the love

In a distressing turn of events, a blind shih tzu named Murdock was found abandoned, tied to a pole near Southfield and 7 Mile Road in Detroit. Both of his eyes had ruptured, leaving him in excruciating pain and robbed of his sight. The Michigan Humane Society received a call on March 14, alerting them to Murdock’s plight.

A Path to Recovery

Upon arrival, Murdock was in a dire state, emaciated, and in urgent need of medical attention. Myron Golden, an MHS field agent, described Murdock’s condition as alarming. Due to the severity of his injuries, both of Murdock’s eyes had to be surgically removed to alleviate his suffering.

A Beacon of Hope

Despite his challenges, Murdock has shown remarkable resilience. Placed with a foster caregiver to aid in his recovery, he has adapted to his blindness by relying on his other senses. Now, Murdock is ready for adoption, seeking a loving home where he can continue his journey towards healing and happiness.

Murdock’s story serves as a poignant reminder of the resilience and capacity for love within animals, even in the face of adversity. As he embarks on his quest for a forever home, let us rally together to ensure that Murdock finds the love and care he truly deserves.
